I’ve had a blog for years, but it was developed with dasblog, a blogging framework written in C#. I was into that because I had done some website programming in C#. I had it on a dedicated server that I’d setup around the millennium Anyway, I’ve found that I don’t have the time to administer web servers, and I let the basics slide.
About a month ago I was hacked by that Chinese outfit that hit the New York times and just about every other company in the US. Of course, just as I went on vacation to Key West, I got an email from my service provider that had a forward attached from the FBI and Homeland Security. Kind of hard to ignore, so there I was plugging the holes to stop the hack when all I wanted to do was soak up the sun and party.
I got the basics running, but it occurred to me that I didn’t need a dedicated server, so I moved my windows sites to Host Gator where I already had a whole bunch of WordPress sites. Well, that led me to rebuild my blog in a more friendly style. This is gonna be about anything that interests me without apology. Hope you like it, but if you don’t, to quote Mark Routson, “Sorry bout your luck”.
